Whiskey Wash is located in the one of the most remote, least visited areas of Utah. If you are looking for a unique, out of the main path rides, this is a ride for you. The scenery is incredible and you will have it to yourself almost certainly. This is an easy ride, the trail is smooth almost the entire route. It is an easy ride from Ferron, or you can trailer out and park and unload at the trail head. This is a great place to explore with lots of interesting rock formations and fossils.

We actually began our ride at the hotel in Ferron but we thought we would Jump ahead to where the trail actually begins.  This is on the W Moore Cutoff Road south of Ferron. This is at 38.95467689265858, -111.12045808669427.  If you use the GPS file available above it will start you here.  There is decent parking here if you would prefer to trailer out rather than ride your OHV.

Check out the Hoodoos at Short Canyon Spring.
Imagine being there when of these big rocks rolled down.
A short run down the highway and get back on the trail heading south.
The multicolored moonscape.
The trail is quite smooth along this section.
Looking at the edge of the San Rafael Swell in the distance.
There are many sky castles here.
We took the S Moore Cutoff Rd back to Ferron.
